Local MP Stuart Smith is really pleased at the high response rate to his recent online survey on the idea of a Blenheim bypass.

“The recent public consultation on the new Grove Road Bridge has reignited debate on the idea of a Blenheim bypass.

“This is an issue that is clearly important to the community, and so I created the online survey as an easy way to gauge public opinion,” said Mr Smith.

Mr Smith sent a link to the survey via email, and also posted it on his Facebook page earlier this month.

The online survey is now closed, but Mr Smith encourages further feedback through the survey in his newsletter that will be delivered to every household in Marlborough.

“Delivery of my newsletter began on Friday last week, and I am looking forward to getting more responses on the subject of the bypass and other issues through the survey that is attached,” said Mr Smith.

“We will then collate these responses with those from the online survey, and put together a brief summary of our findings that we will share with the community.”

“I always welcome feedback on any issues that are important to the community, and I appreciate all those who have taken the time to pass on their views,” said Mr Smith.
